Dear Adventurers,
Sometimes, we learn to survive by silencing the very parts of us that need the most care. For a long time, I ignored my emotions—saw them as inconvenient, overwhelming, even shameful. But healing invites us to listen. To welcome those old feelings like long-lost friends, not enemies.
This letter is my offering of peace to the emotions I once exiled.
A soft return.
A promise to stay.
Dear Emotions,
I’m listening now.
No more turning down the volume
when you whisper—or wail.
I’m sorry for the silence,
for all the times I closed the door
before you could speak.
You deserved more.
Take your moment.
Cry, if you need.
Unfold in the corners
where I once told you to shrink.
You’re safe here now.
I see your trembling hands,
offering truth—
raw, unfiltered.
I won’t flinch.
I accept it.
I accept you.
I used to call you weakness,
too loud, too much,
too tender to be trusted.
But today,
I call you teacher—
a long-lost friend
bringing gifts wrapped in ache and grace.
You didn’t come to break me,
but to rebuild me
with a softer strength,
a deeper knowing.
So stay a while.
Let’s breathe.
Let’s remember.
Let’s grow.
Thank you
for waiting for me.
Thank you
for not giving up.
With Open Arms,
Jae
